Sodium carbonate (washing soda, soda ash)
A mineral that dissolves into natural salts already found in the environment.
Safe for waterways at household levels (0.1–5% in products).
Aquatic life is unaffected below 200 mg/L.
Sodium N-lauroylsarcosinate
Coconut-based cleansing ingredient.
Designed to break down in water without harming aquatic life.
Safe at typical use levels (0.5–5%), well under risk threshold (200 mg/L).
Sodium benzoate
A food-grade preservative also used in drinks and personal care.
Safe for the environment at low concentrations (≤1% in products).
Aquatic organisms unaffected at levels under 100 mg/L.
Citric acid anhydrous
Derived from citrus fermentation, gentle on nature.
Non-toxic to fish, algae, and other aquatic life up to 1000 mg/L.
Safe in cleaning and care products at <5%.
Sodium lauroyl glutamate
Made from plants and amino acids.
Recognized as safe for water and soil.
Used at ≤5% in products, far below harmful levels.
Fragrance
